Kinetic Weapons

Kinetic Weapons, unlike Energy Weapons, use a projectile that is fired at high velocity towards its target. Once it reaches the target, it will either penetrate the target causing internal damage or be destroyed on impact causing external damage.


A Coilgun is a type of projectile accelerator consisting of one or more coils used as electromagnets in the configuration of a linear motor that accelerate a ferromagnetic or conducting projectile to high velocity.

Conventional Artillery

A Conventional Gun or Artillery Piece uses a firing pin that is used to ignite the primer of a bullet. This in turn is used to ignite gunpowder which causes rapidly expanding gases that pushes the projectile out of the gun barrel at high velocity.


A Railgun is a device that uses electromagnetic force to launch high velocity projectiles by means of a sliding armature that is accelerated along a pair of conductive rails.

Energy Weapons

Energy Weapons, unlike Kinetic Weapons, use a beam of energy or particles which is pointed towards a target in the hopes of burning thru it and causing internal damage.


A Laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation.

Particle Beams

A Particle Beam weapon uses a high energy beam of atomic or subatomic particles to damage the target by disrupting its atomic and/or molecular structure.
